Pronunciation: tie-RIN
Tai-Rinn is a wood elf kingdom, built in the trees deep within the forest. "Tai" comes from the old elvish word meaning "forest". The kingdom is relatively self-sufficient, but does trade somewhat with nearby Ellandria and Vorndihm.
The elves of Tai-Rinn worship, and are ruled by, the dryads of the forest. However, they rarely have occasion to see them. Outside of times of crisis, elven sages and seers interpret the will of the dryads. Thus, the sages have much of the power over day-to-day life in the kingdom.
There are non-elves who live in this region, but they are likely to be orphans who were raised by elves, people running away from someone or something, or else they are somewhat transitory: ambassadors, travelling merchants, etc.
As inspiration for Tai-Rinn, think of Lothlórien from Lord of the Rings. Elves from this region might have names like Cirdire, Galebre, Atiel, Ladrilye.
Will fill this in with more detail later.
